I've been watching Helck over on HIDIVE over the past week, and it's been a really fun ride. First concurrent anime series to really get me hooked in a good while, or at least as much as I can remember. It's a fantasy series with a nice mix of silliness and drama similar to the likes of the Slayers franchise, though following JRPG tropes in terms of character levels and such unlike Slayer's DND influence. Even so, I'm enjoying it. Looking it up online, the manga ended a few years ago, so I'm guessing this is a situation where they're gonna tell the entire story without having to make up a new ending or abruptly cut it off and go "If you'd like to learn more go read the manga!".

Downside is I'm caught up now, so I guess I'll wait until the series wraps up before resuming so I can watch it at my own pace.
