I'm about halfway through Z-Mind now (3 episodes in), and I feel it's too dry for my tastes. It feels like a throwback to classic super robot series from like the 70s, which I'm not very into. Very standard aliens like things invading earth, giant robot developed by government, only these teenage kids can pilot it because X reason and naturally great at it, yadda yadda. The kind of giant robot stuff I'm into is the stuff that's super bombastic (Gurren Lagann/Promare), incredibly silly dumb kids stuff (NG Knight Lamune & 40) or pulls a fantasy/isekai thing (Maze Megaburst Space). I feel like I should at least finish Z-Mind since it's 6 episodes, but after being busy at work today I don't have the energy to get through it tonight. I wanna crash on the couch and watch something in low maintenance mode that I know for sure I'll enjoy.

Maybe I'll be brave and watch the school episodes I never bothered watching because the concept itself sound blasphemous to the core concept of the show.
