Went to a furry convention on Friday afternoon/evening. It was neat, but I ran into the same issue I have with anime conventions: when you go alone it gets boring pretty quick. At least with anime conventions there's industry panels I like to check out, but otherwise I look at the dealers room/artist alley and will be done after like two hours of wandering. I don't really see myself going to another one unless I have a fursuit/kig for something to do. I actually inked this entire page while bumming at a table at the con!

I wound up leaving around 7 PM-ish, which in hindsight was a good thing because the stray cat that comes over to my apartment almost every evening gave birth to a litter of kittens. It was freezing Friday night, so I let her crash in my bathroom as not to freeze. Called around to see if anyone could pick her and the kittens up, but no shelters are taking in anything. Dallas Animal Services won't even take in cats unless they're sick or injured. All they could do was direct me to a TNR service, which can't be done on the kittens until their about 8 weeks old. It's warmer tonight, so I put the cat and the kittens out on the patio with some towels and a covering (plus some extra hand pocket warmers from last year). I can't have them stay inside lest I get slapped with a $100 fine from the apartment complex, or pay the $350~ in fees and additional monthly fee. That and the mama cat refuses to use a litter box so I can't leave her inside for too long or else she'll use the bathroom on the floor. Giving them a secure place to bunker and food/water is best I can do.

Also finally watched the Courage the Cowardly Dog/Scooby Doo crossover special. It was dogshit.
