Some more Steven Universe for you all! There were some moments in all of these episodes that were enjoyable, but I'm not sure if it was because I'm sick or what, but some of these felt slightly weaker? I talk about it in the outro, but I'd love to get y'all's thoughts on these episodes!

Some of the episodes I love, some I don't love so much but I think it helps that I've already seen the entire series and knowing the entire story add so much context, Steven Universe is one of those shows that's great to rewatch and noticing all the little things that referenced the backstory or hinted at future developments that completely went over my head the first time.

Yeah from the little bit I've seen so far, I know this'll be a show to go back for a rewatch. There's an incredible amount of lore I wasn't expecting haha

The way you instantly recognized Ronaldo from his silhouette has me cryinggg 😭😭😭 Also I think that this batch was just basically building tension and giving more of a backstory to some of the characters. You have to remember that it’s in the beginning of the season, so it’s not really expected to be action-filled. So, I actually don’t find it to be a weak at all! Well, except for Rising Tides, Crashing Skies because Ronaldo gets on my nerves too 💀

I'm not a huge Ronaldo person (he's funny to me in small doses, but usually not in large ones) but I actually SUPER love Rising Tides, Crashing Skies XD I'm fascinated by seeing the townie's reactions to all the alien stuff going on around them, and the fun alt perspective we're getting away from Steven and the Gems. It fleshes out the world a lot for me. _ BIG fan of Garnet's cute little "WOOO!" during Greg's music video XD _ The "Human beings?" "Human beings!" (Steven sadly clutches his shirt over gem) "Human beings..." bit honestly lives rent free in my brain forever. You've already seen by now how Greg and Connie repeat this little saying in Steven's birthday episode, and yes- oof. It absolutely IS a direct example of them unintentionally alienating him. I like to think that this is Steven having to sit with the disquieting realization that- as he improves with accessing his powers- the humans in his life are now seeing him as more Gem than human, when like... he's BOTH. I cry, poor boy
