New Watch-a-Long Format (Patreon)

Hello everyone! Happy Friday! I'll be experimenting with a new format for watch-a-longs, starting with FMA and Steven Universe S6. Previously, I'd cut the video and audio, or blur the video after 30 seconds because YouTube will take it down if not.

I'm now uploading directly to Patreon, and while copyright law still applies, the law is a little more subjective than what YouTube is willing to let go.

So, for now, and if y'all like the format better, I'll be uploading directly to Patreon and provide the full video and audio. However, there will still be some obscuring of the video, because I legally cannot just provide a clean copy of the show.

I hope that this format will be easier for y'all than having to sync, and then resync if you buffer or there's multiple episodes, etc.

UPDATE: After speaking to some friends in the reaction world, it appears that some overlay is still a good idea. Below is an image of what this will look like. I've made the video larger, cropped the sides 5% on each side, added opacity (with a blue tint), and some text.

Hopefully this is still better than the alternative of straight up syncing. If you don't mind it, but prefer no obstruction, you can still sync a copy, just mute yours so you have my audio.
