Red Sand Lore - Tattoo Designs and Dances (Patreon)

Hey folks!

Got some more exclusive lore sketches for ya!

First off, lemme start with TATTOOS.

You may know that all my OCs have pretty little tattoos, but they're not just for show. There's always a meaning behind them. For the Sunwalkers, there's a symbolic and functional purpose to them. The tattoos help concentrate the Sunwalkers' natural fire abilities, helping them channel them to certain areas of the body. There's a ritualistic way of receiving them, which I will explain in the future. For the symbolic purpose of them, I hope this visual guide helps. :3

Secondly, let's go to Aerie's signature FIGHTING STYLE and DANCING.

Aerie's fire abilities are unique because they are momentum-based. The upside is that her flames grow stronger the more she moves around. The more expressive, the better. The downside is that she cannot conjure flames without moving, and that her flames are easily snuffed out once she stops moving.

This isn't a problem for her, however, as her signature fighting style is defined by excessive leg movement and kicks, similar to Capoeira, but involves an interpretative and theatrical element in it, such that the movements are to resemble the movements of a phoenix. She learned dancing first, but she eventually learned to fight by adopting what she learned from dancing.
