This year has had a lot of ups and downs, mostly downs due to the pandemic but my patreon is still growing thanks your support!

The 3,500 metric is being hit however that goal is a little old and outdated but I have some interesting things in mind. As I prepare to put out the next Candid Encounters update a couple things have been nagging at me.

The VN seems to be a rousing success and I'm very happy that people are enjoying it, I'm going to be working with a programmer to help expand the Visual Novel capabilities beyond what I'm able to do on my own. This guy is amazing and I'm really hoping we can get more funding so I can pay him better to focus more on this project.

What I'm looking into doing is expanding the visual novel aspects to let it play more with Sex RPG elements while still maintaining the regular setting. I might expand into doing more than one VN project, but for now this is what I'm working with.

So this leads me to a crossroads, and I want your opinion. The previous edition of Candid Encounters focused on a First Person experience, however choices were severely limited and basically had a linear model of progression. This second version is more in line with a traditional visual novel that plays out the story, but still lacks multiple options as of now. I plan on adding in more later but right now we're working on releasing more chapters rather than subchapters.

The biggest inspiration I have would be the Corruption of Champions game, and I'm wondering if that might be the way to work towards as I prepare for a third iteration of this Visual Novel Project. I'm not sure how it would work entirely if we did it first person outside of the character being represented solely through text.

Or do you guys prefer the more linear pathway with pre-planned characters to play through the story?

TL;DR - First Person Environment or an Evolution on current Candid Encounters setup?
