I had a similar idea: select a wig with your favourite hair-do, become a mannequin, your friend exchanges your wigs and restores you - voila - new style w/out long hair-dresser session!

I'm thinking that they never got that to work right. I'm betting that if you change hair and get restored without it. The wig will still be a wig but your real hair will also stay a wig.
