Hi everyone!

I'd like to do a shuffle of the schedule, in terms of which episode notes come out on which day, here on Patreon.

With my review of "Oh No! Here Comes Trouble" just out, and my review of "Nothing But You" due out this Sunday, I'll be taking on "King The Land" and "See You in My 19th Life" as replacement shows, respectively.

Because both of these new shows air over the weekend, I thought it would be nice to have the episode notes for these 2 currently airing shows to come out closer to their air days, rather than later in the week.

So this is what I have in mind, for the new schedule:

Mondays: King The Land (replacing "Oh No! Here Comes Trouble)

Tuesdays: See You in My 19th Life (replacing "Nothing But You")

Wednesdays: Doctor Cha (no change)

Thursdays: Dr. Romantic 3 (previously on Mondays)

Fridays: My Perfect Stranger (previously on Tuesdays)

I'd like to make the change right away, meaning, I'm aiming to have the E1-2 notes for King The Land up sometime today (Mon).

Also, I'll aim to have the E1-2 notes for See You in My 19th Life up sometime tomorrow (Tues), instead of having the notes come out in tandem with the review this Sunday.

This way, I'm hoping that you guys will have fun reading the notes and chatting about the episodes, quite close to the episodes' airing.

This also means I won't be publishing notes for Dr. Romantic 3 today, but will aim to have those out on Thursday instead.

I hope you guys like the new schedule!

KFG ❤️

Ok, I watched the first episode of KTL over 2 days. I had seen the description on Netflix, and wasn’t planning to watch it. Su San had an interesting observation so I decided to watch KTL - at least one+ episode. And, I’m probably the only one here to not know that was Junho in KTL through the end of the first episode - yikes. I softened my review a bit - lol @Elaine had an excellent write up - I’ll add in my 2 cents as well. King the Land provides through in Episode 1+ Episode 2 (⅓) . The female lead, Sarang (“love”) carries this episode. From her interview scene, with her shoes, piano playing, smile - yes, smile, she brings in a sunny perspective, one can’t help but root for her. She has two close female friends who all support each other - through thick and thin. The male lead, Won (“the best” or Korean currency?) plays the typical Chaebal son for a first episode. Oh, Won is very swooney - is that a word? Moving on, KTL has a strong supporting cast so far, from Sarang’s boss to Won’s sidekick, and of course Sarang’s two friends. The gal that trains Sarang in the gym was pretty funny. The pervert scene didn’t really do it for me. The poop scene was fine - it did its job to get me to watch part of the next episode. Sarang really seems to like what a hotel can do for customers - make it feel like a home. I think we’ll learn more about this in future episodes. This has the potential to have a really good overall theme - the hotel industry - but it’s a little early to tell. As a side note, South Korean hotels (for me) have had the best customer service hands down. As I arrive from somewhere, they open the door, they typically remember my name, walk me to the elevator and get me on my way, always asking me what I need. Two of the employees remembered me from a previous 3 months earlier. There was a minor thing that was more on me really. The head manager wrote me a hand written letter, called me. I'm like it's ok - not a big deal. I did chuckle at the “Hermes” scenes though. Everyone in the hotel the last 2 years, including myself, wear masks so no an option to see anyone's Hermes. Even with only watching one episode (+/-), there’s definitely some similarities with SYIMN19L and TKL. Chaebols are the Male Leads (very few Females), one mom deceased during the episode and the dead or missing (?) - the wife of the chaebol always seems to have a short ½ life. Will the sons get along with the moms - pretty sure it will be a big no. Both female leads interview at the Chaebol hotel, both get hired. Of the businesses in the Chaebol portfolios, hotels seem to be the primary location for each. Each seems to have their Chaebol kryptonite: one seems adverse to Smiling (?) and the other is a traumatic car accident, hearing loss, perhaps some water will come into play later. The Couple Theme of one is Opposites Attract, the other is hmm, First Love / Last Love / Stalker Love. Not sure yet. Love triangle for sure in KTL, unknown in SIMN19L but I imagine there will be - at least an attempt. I would just wish a bit more originality. I swear these writers go to the same Chaebol KDrama writing class. Note - In KTL, the opening scene of Namsan is marvelous. The King hotel looks to be where the Grand Hyatt Hotel is. The hotels from the outside look somewhat similar but nothing like the inside. It’s a really nice hotel but not really near much walking distance from a tourist point of view.
