Your opinion please ❤️ (Patreon)

Hi everyone,

I've been spending a chunk of time lately, thinking about and exploring what shows should come on next, on the Patreon schedule, since another round of shows is due to wrap up very soon.

Here's what I have in mind so far, for new shows to introduce in January:

JANUARY NEW SHOWS

Reborn Rich: possibly to be replaced by Unchained Love [China]

First Love: Hatsukoi [Japan]: possibly to be replaced by Lesson In Love [Taiwan]

Alchemy Of Souls: Light And Shadow: possibly to be replaced by Crash Course In Love

Recipe For Farewell: possibly to be replaced by Be My Princess [China]

Specifically, I'd like to know what you think about having Be My Princess on the Early Access (US$5) Tier, because that would tip the scale to make 3 Chinese dramas (not counting Taiwanese drama Lesson In Love, which I'm quite intrigued by, one episode in).

However, I'm thinking that these are mostly short shows, that would soon clear the way for more kdramas to come on board..?

Right now, I'm pretty certain of wanting Unchained Love [China] and Crash Course in Love [Korea] on the Patreon menu, because both are shows that a number of us are actively interested in. 

I'm still exploring Lesson in Love [Taiwan], but I must say, one episode in, it does look quite meaty and worthwhile. I will explore episode 2 to confirm.

That leaves the slot for the Early Access (US$5) Tier to fill.

The reason I'm leaning towards Be My Princess, is because so far, several of you have already expressed BIG LOVE for this OTP, namely, Rita, Sean and Jennifer.

And a great OTP sounds like a good show for us to enjoy together?

If you guys would prefer a kdrama, I was thinking of possibly Unlock My Boss (not a romance, but sounds like fun) or The Glory (revenge melodrama, not sure if there's romance, but it's Lee Do Hyun, whom I really like).

I was also considering Silent [Japan], since a number of you have expressed that you find it worth watching. But if we pick that, it would come very soon after First Love: Hatsukoi, and looking at the synopsis, there is some vague similarity between the set-ups, ie, young love interrupted, and I was wondering if waiting for a bit before picking it up would make it feel fresher for us.

I'll be posting my This Month on Patreon post on the main blog on 1 January as scheduled, but the final picks will only be truly finalized when I try out the shortlisted shows close to their scheduled Patreon debut date.

I will leave the poll open until 31 December 2022, 6pm my time (so that I have time to change my Patreon update post for the main blog, based on the poll results).
