Blog activity update! (Patreon)

Hi my friends!

This is just a quickish update to what's going on with the main blog.

You'd probably have noticed that I'm posting less frequently this week. That's because I've decided to take a step back, to focus on getting things in order on the technical / structural side of things.

There are 2 - well, 2.5? - main things that I'm working on right now.

1. I'm basically doing an audit of all my posts, for Search Engine Optimization purposes. That's going to take me a while, as I've got lots of posts to get through.

2. I'm looking into getting an "Advertise With Us" page on the blog set up, so that I can accept direct advertising bookings, on top of using an ad network partner. 

This does require a fair bit of research and infrastructural set-up, but I'm hopeful that it will be a good investment of time.

For context, most sites that host ads, do so through a combination of ad network and direct advertising. So I'm just working on getting the missing piece in place.

2.5. Part of getting the direct advertising infrastructure set up, would be to set up payment options on the site. 

I'm still figuring this out, but I'm hopeful that this will make things easier for readers who want to contribute to the site, but don't wish to use Paypal or Patreon.

And that's it, really. I just wanted to let you all know what's going on, and why I'm not posting as often. Just in case you were wondering. 😅
