Strong cast for upcoming KBS drama "Trees Die On Their Feet" (Patreon)

Youn Yuh Jung, Sung Dong Il, Son Ye Jin and Kang Ha Neul, in the same drama - now that's a strong cast, isn't it? 🤩🤩

The premise itself sounds promising, in that it sounds like this could be a heartwarming, heart-tugging sort of story.

Geum Soon (Youn Yuh Jung) is an elderly lady from North Korea who doesn't have much time left to live. Her last wish is to be reunited with her grandson.

Jae Hoon (Kang Ha Neul) is an unknown theater actor who is asked by an old man (whom I'm assuming is played by Sung Dong Il) to act as Geum Soon's grandson, in order to fulfill her last wish. 

Son Ye Jin will play Geum Soon's granddaughter, who runs the hotel chain that Geum Soon has established. 

I'm definitely putting this one on my radar, for the cast and premise alone! I am, however, admittedly a little wary of the fact that this one will be directed by the PD who directed River Where The Moon Rises, which I found rather labored and overly complex. 😅 Ah well, this could still be great?

Trees Die On Their Feet will be 16 eps, and will air on KBS2, with a targeted premiere in Oct 2022.
