Many thanks to Elaine, who sent this to me, we've got another subbed trailer for upcoming drama "Thirty-Nine," and it's looking more and more like my jam, you guys.

It looks like there are going to be lashings of poignance and bittersweet, amid the warmth, in our story, and that's just the sort of thing that gets me in the heart.

With all the recent furore over Son Ye Jin's upcoming wedding with Hyun Bin (next month, apparently!), it might feel a little odd seeing her romancing Yeon Woo Jin in this show, but.. I'm up for the challenge! 😁

Rounding out the cast, we have Jeon Mi Do (😍😍😍!!!), Kim Ji Hyun (who played Seon Ah in Hometown Cha Cha Cha), Lee Moo Saeng (One Spring Night), and Lee Tae Hwan (Secret Royal Inspector).

Show is 12 episodes and premieres on Wednesday, 16 February, on jTBC, taking over Artificial City's time slot.

I've shortlisted this one as a potential replacement show here on Patreon, for when we finish up The Red Sleeve. 😉

KFG ❤️

My wife texted me yesterday to ask if I'd "watched 39," so it must have floated onto her browse screen. I told her doesn't come out until next week, but I will... Question: are you still looking at Twenty-five, Twenty-on as the King's Affection replacement? (I'm going to check out either way, just curious).

Yes, I'm still looking at Twenty Five, Twenty One as a possible replacement for The King's Affection! 😃 I'm drawn to the retro 90's vibe of the trailers.. reminds me of the Reply series, a little bit. 😁

I might be up for this, simply cos I'm around that age ahem haha. Well besides that I like both Son Ye Jin and Jeon Mi Do! Both so adorable. Think it's awesome that K drama has starring rom com roles for women in late thirties or early forties whereas in American dramas the female roles at that age tend to be politicians or housewives...

Hometown Cha Cha Cha features Shin Min Ah who's also in her late 30s!
