YOU GUYS. VOGUE India wants to collab! (Patreon)

So I literally JUST got this DM on Instagram, you guys. 

Apparently VOGUE India wants to do an online article and would like me to contribute some insights / perspectives. Ahhh! Their previous mention of the blog really wasn't a fluke, heh!

What can I say, right now I have more confidence in VOGUE India than in the BCC, based on my experiences of each one? 😉I mean, I've already enjoyed an actual mention by VOGUE India, while I've only been ghosted by the BBC..! 😂

Eeeee!! I'm quite excited, honestly - and just had to share! *insert cartwheels*

Update (29 Oct, 11:15pm):

So it's looking LEGIT, you guys. I've exchanged a number of messages with Hasina since I first posted, and she is a bona fide kdrama fan herself. She has also now sent over a detailed brief via email, which I'll need to work through, Q&A style, over the weekend, because she'd like it all back by end of business day, Monday, 1 Nov. 

The focus of the article is MUCH more meaty than what the BBC guy had in mind for Squid Game.

Basically, it's an article exploring the female gaze in kdramas, versus the male gaze traditionally employed, for both male and female characters. This includes how they are written, to what kind of depth, are they two-dimensional, are they humanized, are they objectified, all that kind of good stuff. 

They will write the article, but they will intersperse my remarks through their article, and we will have a proper blog shout-out, with a description of the blog included in the article! Ahhh!!

I will do my best to stay on top of all deadlines while I work on this, but I thought it would be good to let you guys know upfront, that I MAY need to push some posts a little bit, to make room for this. I will make an announcement if a specific post is going to be late, but thought it'd be good to at least give you all a heads-up now.

For now, I need to hurry up and finish my SLA notes for tomorrow's Open Thread. Eep. Clearly, I'm rather behind schedule today, because of this sudden but very interesting interruption to my regular schedule! 😅
