E7. Interestingly, I find my interest in this show growing, with each episode. I might have liked this episode more than all the others than came before. I hadn't expected that, particularly of a small little show like that.

Although I feel bad for Seon Jae, because he's suffering from losing Ga Ram, I also feel quite gratified, to see that Ga Ram actually means so much to him. After having seen him blow off Ga Ram because of work, it's particularly meaningful to me, to see that he's now blowing off work stuff, because he's hung up over Ga Ram. I guess you never know how much you treasure something or someone, until you lose them.

I'm very much intrigued that we see X interacting with another supernatural executor type guy, who appears to be more senior. According to the character list, this person is Y. How interesting, that Y questions X about the contract, and calls it childish. Even more interesting, is the fact that Y refers to X's behavior as "empathizing with humans." Does this mean that X's actions are meant to help Seon Jae and Ga Ram, instead of tear them apart? I'm definitely interested to know more about this.

Also, X says that he'll be the one to get punished for this, so does that mean that his contract with Ga Ram is actually out of line? It sure sounds like it.

Hm.. By the end of their conversation, though, Y asks X if his broken heart would be healed, even if he destroyed Seon Jae and Ga Ram's relationship. I guess this means that X isn't trying to help them. Perhaps Y meant "identifying with humans" rather than "empathizing with humans," since it appears that X has a broken heart.

Judging by X's effort to meet Seon Jae as a client, just to put pressure on Seon Jae to stop clinging on to Ga Ram, X really is trying to tear them apart. It's interesting to hear, though, X's own experiences, because they mirror Seon Jae's so closely. It's no wonder X's words ring in Seon Jae's head afterwards.

It's a thought-provoking conclusion that Seon Jae comes to, after he manages to meet with Ga Ram again; that he'd been so wrapped up in his ambitions for the future, that he hadn't realized that he was only focusing on his own happiness, even though he'd thought that it was for Ga Ram's happiness too. It can be easy to get lost in one's good intentions, that way.

I appreciate how Ga Ram spends her remaining time introspectively, thinking of her father, and talking with him. In particular, I find her realization, that Dad had always bought the things she'd liked, and so she'd always assumed that she and dad had liked the same things, very poignant. That's such a parent thing to do, to do everything for the happiness of your child, without paying heed to your own preferences. It sounds like Dad was a lovely, loving presence in Ga Ram's life, which is probably why she took his death so hard as well.

I also appreciate how Ga Ram chooses to be grateful towards X, even though he's basically the one who keeps harassing and tormenting her, about breaking things off with Seon Jae. I find that difference in perspective so gracious; that she would thank X, for allowing her to live through this one week again, and even have the chance to save Seon Jae.

It feels like Ga Ram's positive attitude is not only unexpected, but aggravating, to X. It feels like X is tormenting Ga Ram and Seon Jae, so that they will act in the way he had acted, probably as a way of vindicating himself. And, it's upsetting him, that Ga Ram (and perhaps Seon Jae too) is just not having the sort of reaction that he'd expected.

Again, Ga Ram's efforts to break off with Seon Jae, by saying mean untrue things to him, like she doesn't love him anymore, smacks of the form of noble idiocy that we've become so familiar with in Dramaland. However, in this case, it really is X who is forcing her hand, by telling her that she needs to make Seon Jae stop pining for her, in just 2 days. What else could she have done, right?

Ooh, I didn't expect that Y would seek out Seon Jae, nor did I expect Y to take Seon Jae to that same supernatural office corridor that Ga Ram had ended up in, post accident, at the beginning of our story. Will this result in a different contract for Seon Jae..??

Next episode notes will be out on: Tuesday, 12 Oct 2021!

Okay, it's too premature to claim vindication, but let's just say I felt a wee little thrill when Seon-jae started to make direct contact with the supernatural emissaries (not to brag, but I guessed the "CEO" he was going to meet with would turn out to be X), especially the sudden transport to the alternate-dimension there at the very end. This may not lead to exactly the resolution path I was speculating about last episode, but at least it's a feint in kinda sorta that direction. I definitely get the implication or vibe that X is freelancing his supernatural duties somewhat in a probable effort to work through his own past trauma somehow (not sure how he thinks that's going to work out...); apparently/maybe this creates certain leeway for Y to act as a counter or on a tangent? I guess we'll find out soon...
