Hey guys,

About the last poll, 

We heard your feedback, and we adjusted the new version to match as close as possible to the current visual style. 

And again, just keep in mind that this change will not only boost our productivity, but will also allow us to use a more powerful animation software.

Are you satisfied with the new result?

To me the clothes and hair look better, but the skin looks kind of flat in the new one.

I agree about the hair as well, didn't know what it was till I read that comment

Yeah, the hair looks more like Julia used too much hairspray in the newer version. Everything else looks a bit better she doesn't look like a doll made of plastic.

I still find the new version too cartoony, the hair and skin doesn’t look right. The colour also looks slightly off too.

If I’m honest it’s not going to stop me from enjoying the story and it’s the change is to benefit us the players and helps you create better and quicker content I’m all for that.

Eh when actually reading and not staring at 2 side-by-side comparisons for 10-20 mins each I'm probably not going to notice the differences (which is a mixed bag, hair is a bit worse but wall detail is better). I say go for it. At least it's not rendered in Honey, which is what most creators resort to when trying to speed things up. I'm not really a fan of what looks like slightly improved 2D cartoons unless there's an exceptionally compelling story behind it (rare).

Ima be honest and say after a few hours of it you won't notice much. But the thing that throws me off isn't the finer details but if I was to run this game via software through an NVIDA card with raytrace I wonder if the actual art would look better? Due to corrective lighting adjustment. But as far as the comparison goes the lighting on the 2.0 does a good job on brightening and maintaining the art style. However it looks like it messed with or either couldn't calculate light depth/distance behavior? Most noticeable aspect is the lamp and her arm. The old one does a proper balance while the new just over scales in an unnatural way.

Overall it looks better, but I do kind of like the older hair of the left a bit better

New version still looks wrong. It's too bright in some parts, darker in others. Overall, the look is rather plastic compared to the original. 2.0 is an improvement over the initial comparison but it still falls significantly short.of the original graphic quality.
