Billing model change? (Patreon)

Hey all! I've been thinking of making a change for the billing model on my Patreon. I hear about issues of patrons seem to get double charges or something along that. I'm not too sure cause I'm still a newbie to Patreon and I have yet to understand how these works entirely.

Should I change from the monthly charge upfront to subscription billing: patrons to sign up whenever they want during the month and be billed a month later or leave it as monthly charge upfront?
