Hey all!

Wanted to drop you an update about upcoming art and the Patreon.

The Patreon has been a great success in terms of allowing me to bring YOU more art. My hope is together we continue to bring more art to not only you but our community. As you know – my goal is to get as much quality art out there as I can and HOPEFULLY inspire others to support or create their own art. As I’ve said before, when I was coming up in the community it was extremely hard to find other friends and fans who enjoyed BE/GTS art and harder to find art itself. (Those were ANCIENT times, haha)

So here we are now. My site is up and running. This Patreon is up and there are animations here!

Where does this leave you in terms of more art?

There is ALWAYS my free art site https://www.readyartzone.com (you only need an email to sign up for access to over 3500 pages of art)

There is also this Patreon which recently added animated movies. If you are not an animation tier subscriber you might ask yourself “Self, does Ready mean two hour long animated BE movies in 2D or 3D with full voice acting, engaging plot and amazing VFX?” At the moment that is not the case BUT it might be with your support.

What we are doing at the moment is bringing transformation sequence movies with an eye towards making a movie down the line. Currently I promise three transformation movies a month on the Patreon but subscribers at the animation tier have been getting a movie a WEEK. Yep, that translates to FIFTY TWO movies a year (1 animation a week for 52 weeks) versus the thirty six movies I promised (3 animations a month for 12 months). That’s quite a difference. As the Patreon grows I hope to keep it up and make it official.

I also wanted to address something a few of you might be wondering in terms of the animation tier, it’s pricing and your value. Firstly, ANY dollar amount is welcome, heck, just stopping by to look at my art is appreciated. If you do decide to support me at the animation tier level know I am doing my utmost to bring you something awesome each month. I recently had a person give feedback they were unhappy with the tier and I wanted to put my answer out to all of you since I feel it covers a few of your unasked questions.

So, here is the comment I received on my deviantArt page AFTER this person has cancelled their subscription. Mind you, I NEVER heard a single word from this person until this moment.

“Nothing special, I become patreon only for [this] animation, but I am very disappointed, and cancelled my donation.”

Now this sucks for a lot of reasons. I want people to be happy with their purchase but I felt there was a missed opportunity. Here is my response:

“Hello, apologies for not responding earlier but I have been busy with my other work.

Though I don't think deviantArt comments are the best way to talk about something like this I feel what you mentioned merits a response. As you may or may not know, I am all for civil discourse. If someone has an issue or a problem with any service I provide, be it free or paid, I am open to feedback.

First, I appreciate your taking a chance on my Patreon. It's unfortunate you didn't find it to your liking and I am not going to try and change your mind. What I will do is give you some back story and MAYBE you can visit the Patreon or my free site at a later date.

From what I can tell you and I have never corresponded until this moment. I have been pretty open about the Patreon and what you can get. With support from you and others I feel each week the animations get longer and better. Are they full length movies in color? Well no, not yet but that is what I am working towards. If you go back through all the posts you can see my progress across time. You will notice even a month or so ago they had less production value. Last month - with patron support - they have color, more SFX and are longer. Beyond that I offer many other things for the animation tier (comics, downloads, etc). But you mention the animations so let's focus on that.

The point is, animations are improving. I can imagine you and many others would prefer longer animations and overall better production values and so would I. That is the goal. To improve always.

Which brings me to the final point. I would like to put a suggestion out to you and anyone else who would like to see more of something they like and less of something they don't like. Perhaps, focus on the things you hope for and relay those thoughts early to a creator. If you have any questions about the Patreon or are worried about content - you can mail me before you spend a single dollar. My email and DM's are wide open for things like that. There really is no need to wait until you are unhappy to make that first outreach. I want to bring you and others the best I can. I feel that can best be done with clear communication. It sucks to hear you are frustrated since I think "Well, what can I do to help?" I don't know - you have only relayed your frustration and not much else.

I'm not looking to come down on you. I know it can be hard to do the things I mention and sometimes a quick comment is all people can or want to manage. I am here to tell you, with me, in this situation, it can be different and you CAN get what you want. If you communicate and help me... then I can help you.

Thank you again for your support. I appreciate the comment and the time. Please feel free to contact me directly with any suggestions at granitelog(at)hotmail(dot)com”

So yes, you want to talk about the Patreon and how I can help you see more of the art YOU WANT? Contact me!

As always – thank you for your support!
