Hey Gearheads!

February was an interesting month.  I started up Dropbox as an alternative to Sync due to issues with reliability and customer service.  I'm working on moving all the files over and organizing them and once that's done, I'll be using Dropbox for the main archive going forward.

I also started experimenting with AI frame interpolation and upscaling.  Basically what that means is well finally have 60fps animations and some versions past 4k, like 6k or 8k.  More experimenting is needed for the larger sizes as well as planning on organizing all the different versions, but the 60fps versions are looking really good so far.  It'll take a while to get caught up on the whole backlog, but I'll keep the conversions running in the background when no scenes are rendering.

I've been looking at what some of the other creators are doing as well as thinking about ways to get you guys more opportunities for content.  We have the public 3D videos, the VR preview clips, the all patron versions of custom/commissioned desktop animations, the main version of galactic VRA which is public, the public gaming archive of the original group of releases and more.  However, there is an opening for lower-tier VR content.  i.e. single position animations.  So I'll open a new $8 tier just for those, once I get the archive filled up with a decent amount of videos.  So keep an eye out for more on that if you're not already on Tier 1/2 or your struggling to stay on.  That should also help with commissioning more custom content.

As usual here is a preview of some of the animations currently being worked on, including the previous community choice animation Velma x Daphne which is coming out this month.  It's 5 different positions total from 2 animators and some of the scenes have both POV angles and a Voyeur angle, so it's been a lot to put together.

Thanks for another great month and as usual let's look forward to the awesome stuff on the way!

What VR equipment are people using for 4k and 8k? I'm on an old gen 1 occulus and thinking about upgrading

4k is universal and the safest max for Quest 2. 8k would be PC VR. Best for the price imo would be The Quest 2 or Pico 4 since they can do stand alone and tethered. Not sure if Pico has wireless tethered natively, but both can run with Virtual Desktop which is a great app to have, especially for videos. I get best performance using Virtual Desktop on Quest 2 and Whirligig on PC. Pico is good if you don't want to deal with facebook. Other than that, Index is one of the most powerful and well-rounded PC headsets, but one of the most expensive too. Quest 3 should be coming out this year, but prob Q 3/4. If I was in your positon personally, I'd be going with the Pico 4, but check them all out as well as maybe a youtube video covering a quick overview of the latest headsets and/or feel free to reach out to me directly for any other questions.
