Hey Gearheads!

What a wild ride November was.  We released both the Raven and Korra animations.  Both were several months in the making and really fun to see the results.  We also had a bonus anthro release, which I think is a good practice to keep going.  Those are fun to convert too, but since they aren't everyone's bag I'll pepper them in once or twice a month since enough of you want to see them too.

POV continues to be our bread and butter helping us to continue to keep consistently releasing high-quality content.  We've expanded our artist pool and are continually finding new content and ways to present it.  Recently it was the closet and voyeur scenes for animations that didn't have a POV viewpoint.  We also had the hornypasta halloween release that started as a goof, but did better than expected.  It'll be challenging to continue to push the limits on the vr videos, but I'm excited to apply a few ideas I already have and to come up with new ways beyond those.

The website remains the best place for previewing the video archive.  I've lost my helper for organizing the gaming side, so I'll be setting aside time each week to continue chipping away at it.  We've had over 200 unity releases since we got started which include (but aren't limited to) dances with and without clothing removal, POV sex scenes, BDSM scene, large scale environments, etc.  The pinnacle remains the Galactic Space Station which is linked in the pinned Patreon post and on discord.  The fact that I was able to cram 73 anime gals onto that space station still blows my mind and gives me a goal for future projects.

We've also been looking into ways to build direct VR access into the website, for playing videos and eventually for gaming content as well.  We want to be ready when this new wave of VR rises that takes advantage of off-device processing power.

The web dev who built the new version of the site has been working on a 2.0 version of the backend that he'll be upgrading the site to as well.  Hopefully that'll be happening this month as well.

The Huntress Hole has by far, been the most challenging project of the year.  We found a great setting for it and optimized the environment greatly, by improving the topology, making texture atlases and balancing out each room.  We also made quite a few improvements with the furniture, but not enough to fully stabilize the build.  We need to bring in a 3D Modeler for further optimization of the furniture and an Unity developer to assist with setting up the project for maximum fps and stability.  We also need a programmer that specializes in VR to assist with setting up the controller use that allows for teleporting and continuous movement while still being cross-compatible.  We've gotten close in all those areas, but just as we solve a problem another sets us two steps back.

This will be one of the main reasons for the vote update on the main project for the first quarter of 2022.  Do we want to stick it out with the Huntress Hole and maybe drop the video releases in half to allow more time to work on it or do we want to put a pin in it and work on something smaller like the dancing / sex scene one shots until we have the sufficient resources for the larger projects.  Though there's also the option of putting a hold on unity to work on the next big animation project.  Either way, having you guys help with the sense of direction should make things more agreeable for everyone.

This part is a bit of a bummer.  Last week we got another content warning from Patreon.  This time it was for a BlenderKnight conversion, who's also on Patreon, go fig and for a twitter post of Mavis.   As usually the clearest feedback we got was this:
"...the characters were depicted too closely to a non-adult (body proportions, size differences, etc)"
That doesn't really apply to either character, but things like this are becoming more of a problem with Patreon.  If you haven't considered Subscribstar, I'd highly recommend it.  If everyone was over there, I wouldn't be using Patreon anymore or abiding by their restrictions.  That's part of the reason there hasn't been as much anime content lately as they give us a hard time about it.

Eventually, we'll likely need to completely move from Patreon, the timing depending on what projects we all choose.  At least now we have the website up and Subscribestar and I've been saving email info.  If for some reason the Patreon suddenly disappears, check your email and the website for an update.

If you're wondering who that gal is in the gif, then allow me to introduce you to Ana our new bubbly bunny mascot.  I'm so happy that she's finally joined us as we've been working off and on for the past few years to get her to this point.  She'll be popping up here and there and if you guys have ideas on things for her to do I'd love to hear them!

The next big things in the pipeline for December:

  • Deciding on community animation
  • Deciding the big focus for Q1 2022
  • Gaming Section Updates to the website
  • VR video player for the website
