Hey Gearheads!

I just found a great rigging resource and wanted to share it with you.

Armin Halac has some great and detailed info on character rigging.  One of the best written guides I've seen lately on tine tuning weights.  Weight painting is easy, tuning them is where things get complicated and frustrating.  Maya probably has the easiest solution for this I've seen via built-in smoothing and now Blender has a very similar solution.

So, I'd highly recommend checking him out if you have any interest in learning to rig characters for animation and/or video games.
