Do you want low res versions?

  • 4k is a good middle ground for me, stay the course 83
  • My setup would benefit from a 1k option 7
  • I can run 4k fine but sure 1k option would be nice and I'd use it too sometimes 17

Hey Gearheads!

As part of enhancing the experience I've improved my workflow for higher quality versions with the goal of releasing 60fps versions with every release.

So I wanted to get you guys take on the opposite end, incase there are people using phones with shell headsets, MR headsets, prev gen gear, streaming from PC with hit or miss internet or whatever.

Would those of you that fall into that group want (or not) want a lower res version of releases? Like a 1k aka 1080p version or even half res version?

Depending on the response, I'll either move forward without it or integrate it into future releases. Either way you can request a 1k version of any past releases. You can do so in a comment here, the community chat tab, a dm here or on discord.

Update:
This question is specifically for those who need lower-resolution content. Please keep this discussion focused on that topic. If you have feedback about high-resolution content and want it taken into consideration, feel free to share it in the other posts about that topic, the community chat, or Discord. This would be a major change in my workflow, so I'd like to avoid deviating from the topic at hand. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

everytime i download a video i need to reduce the resolution because im using gearvr and it cannot withstand it :(

Thanks this is the feedback I've been looking for. The poll looks to be leaning more towards sticking with 4k, but you can dm me with the releases you'd like as 1k and I'll start a queue for them. I'll make a more formal announcement when the poll ends, but you can get a jump on adding to the queue.
