okay now that i’ve watched it i want your opinion this: so obviously lisa had these braids in the video, it’s kind of a similar style she’s done before. and a lot of people were upset with her for cultural appropriating. not even just with the hair, but like you said the song was very reminiscent of what black artists do in america. do you agree that she is? regardless though, a fan talked to her about it and she apologized bc she said she didn’t realize 👀

She seems like the best dancer in blackpink but now with other dancers... The performance was cool but it seems liked she couldn't execute some parts well..

😶 You know, I'm a hard YG stan so even songs I usually wouldn't like eventually grow on me. There's no BLACKPINK song I don't like or listen to at some point. In saying that I knew that response was coming 🤣 it's not very memorable if you're a non-fan/casual listener

Thanks for reacting! I kind of understand you when you say that Kpop seems fake cause of how hyper commercialised it is. I don’t know what draws me to Kpop. It might be the super neat and visually pleasing videos and concepts and the consistency in releases.

I like the song now that I've heard it a million times but I completely get the only "special" thing about it is LISA. I really wish they had just worked on a BP comeback rather than her solo because her solo was always going to be a big deal and this really fell flat

I agree 100% with the singing part. That portion turned me away from the whole song. I like the choreo and that one fit tho

I was thinking the exact same thing as what you said at the end. 99% of kpop videos and performances are just a shitty rip off of black culture and it’s so ironic because they don’t have any black dancers or creatives in their videos because they are simply not surrounded by black people in the first place, so why rip them off?
