Unni is the same as when u hear bts call older members 'hyung'. Younger males call older brothers or friends 'hyung'. Unni is what a younger female calls a close older female or friend. Noona is what a younger male would call an older female. Oppa is what younger females call older males but many fans tend to use it when being flirty, playful or talking about their bias. Honorifics are important in skorea. They are titles used to show respect, like jimin would call Namjoon, RM-hyung. Or in blackpink ,Lisa would call her older member jisoo, Unni. I first heard kpop, got into it and I wanted to be a full kpop fan but for many lyrics of songs like in bts rap lyrics at times, ,I realized I had to learn about the korean and east asian culture a bit more to appreciate some bars. And honorifics was one of the first things I learned since South Korea has alot of "respect your elders" and is a modest country. I do tend to get confused by honorifics from time to time because I heard there are certain honorifics used for older ppl who are strangers vs the ones use on those who are related or close friends. And lol, I agree that many of the reactions tend to be the same cultural shock type. The girl is cute, there is one reaction video she was in that she was a whole mood and hilarious in. She is very animated with her reactions and even when talking. As a kpop fan...I have heard songs that were pretty sexual by korean rappers, the lyrics arent heavily explicit but the meaning is pretty obvious. But tbh...I dont tend to like those songs ,they dont hit for me. I tend to perfer when kpop idols go off about themselves or their pride for their culture/work/people cuz the lyrics tend to be better. Like jaypark's mommae lyrics were not it, yet Suga's AGUSTD lyrics/energy had me drawn in more. Jay park has a song where he is boasting and I like it better than mommae. It's just something I noticed when I listen to krappers do sexual songs vs songs of them going off. But yea lmao I enjoyed the reaction dee. Thank youuu and I hope I was able to explain the meaning of 'unni' well😊
