As a person not from the USA, y'all need to understand that these debates are the way people around the world get to know about US politics before the election. You don't have to understand. I don't personally understand why people put so much energy and focus into things that don't actually matter, but I let them do them. I couldn't possibly care less how America is viewed by other countries, how does that affect me exactly? I also don't believe that our votes actually count whatsoever. We have absolutely no way of knowing if they're actually honestly taking our votes into account. We can only go by what we're told, and I don't believe shit that my government tells me being that they have been lying and conniving since the beginning of time. You can care about politics, that's your business. I'll continue not to and be at peace, period lol

I'm not American but I followed the Democratic nominee race closely this year because I'm a fan of the progressive movement. I really think the Dems shot themselves in the foot not nominating Bernie Sanders. He would've mopped the floor with Trump. Biden has so many skeletons in the closet and gets flustered when debating. Just my personal opinion.

I still think it’s important to vote because even though both biden and trump suck, biden is the lesser of two evils, donald trump being in power means too many rights are taken away, like how when he got in power certain states started to get laws that if a woman gets an abortion she’ll be tried for murder or how trans people can no longer be in the military. i personally believe that every vote counts to make sure that at least if we’re going to have someone representing our country and protecting it that it’s not an outright bigot like trump

it’s because not enough young people are voting even though majority want bernie while all the older dems think for some reason that biden is the better choice so we’re stuck with him

Mainly because you have to be at least 35 to run and then the candidates that get this far or become more popular are the ones with plenty of experience and history for people to look back on and asses. This means that they tend to be older because they've been serving as mayors, governors, legislatures or even vice presidents for like 20-30+ years. We've had young candidates and young politicians running for sure though. When Obama originally ran, he was actually considered to be very young and running at 47.
