Long story short, I think it might've been the power supply (via the AC adapter) that was causing my computer to shut down randomly as if it were overheating. (Not a battery issue, the battery reads as full, and the temperatures of my CPU and GPU are stable/in acceptable range. Not ruling out the possibility of it being a fan issue as well though.)

Fortunately I have a spare adapter, so I'm testing it this morning. Let's cross our fingers!

What this means is that, at least for the moment, I can't even play Sims or run my usual Photoshop workflows. I've got to set up an appointment to see my computer guy just to check to see if this situation can be salvaged. Worst case scenario, I'm going to need a new laptop, which is.......... definitely not ideal, as I would have to deplete my savings to get one. (Granted, that's what the savings are there for, but still.......)

What this means for the Patreon is that if I can't solve the issue today, I'm going to shut off billing for the next month. I still have some CC I'd like to finish up and upload, and I'm just very sorry I've been a little absent lately.

I'll post an update by end of day Central Standard Time today (or sooner) when I know more.

In brighter news, I've uploaded my new logo and new banner! Have a look at the banner on the main page. I hope you like it. :D

Please wish me luck, and let me know if you have any questions! ^^'

UPDATE: Gonna need a new laptop. There's not much else to be done when the power supply and drive temperatures are FINE and it's a purely GPU-related issue. The hitch here is that with this laptop, the card is essentially tied to the motherboard, and the cost to replace both (and probably a few other things) would be over half what it would cost to find a replacement laptop. I've started searching for one, but it's stressing me out...

Regarding CC: One of my projects that relies heavily on in-game testing will be put aside (the add-ons for the Adamesque walls), but more simple recolors using simpler workflows will be continuing cautiously (so I don't fry this thing and lose EVERYTHING before I can transfer to the new laptop).

I'm really grateful that I can even THINK of replacing this machine and I look forward to moving on!!!

Love y'all, be good. x

I agree Anachrosims. I have a degentrive heridtary back condition as well as arthritis and I have found that my laptop helps me create because I can move and walk away if need be.

Oh Wow! I have had two failed spinal fusions and I was diagnosed with failed back syndrome, DDDs, fibromyalgia, arthritis on every level of my spine and I was diagnosed last year with stage three lymphedema in my legs from the second surgery because the surgeon nicked or cut one of the lymphatic valves that moves the good and bad fluid, so now my legs swell up to huge sizes. The last two years I haven't able to sleep in my bed so I sleep in my computer chair. I see another neurologist next week to see what he suggests because my nerves where I had the fusion are compressed again. I hate that we are suffering with these terrible conditions. I pray for all of us to have some type of relief. Oh I forgot the model number on those laptops I have sitting at my desk at work...I will get it tomorrow...next week is the last week of school and my office has been hectic the last couple of weeks.
