I'm running an error when I try to open the hotfix. The error mentions the Create Process () returning 570, if that means anything. I've attempted redowloading it to prevent any kind of accidents in regards to that. I'm not sure what's causing it.

did you try both versions? I think someone else had this problem and they just switched versions.

Wasn't able to get as far down in the dungeon this time, if just because I was using Challenge Me on everything just to see if it was working, not meaning anything bad from that. All of the enemies that are based on one specific stat were growing as they should, based on the name. Lich Boss wasn't too much of a problem, but then again it was one of the few I didn't try to abuse Challenge Me with. However, after only 1 Challenge Me, the Barrel Lord, or whatever it's called, blew away half my health on lower/higher levels. I kinda don't know what to call it since you're technically going down but the number is going up. Anyways, the samurai boss showed me how the sheathed weapon actually worked. I thought it just wasn't working for the player, until the boss used it and jumped up over 300 in legs because of Challenge Me and nearly killed me. (Personal note, I wish you hadn't thought ahead to make it unable to be infinite. I like infinites in games! Darn you!) Chef shows up now, so that's pretty good now, for those who need the health items. The barrel falling the other way is pretty good to prevent the softlock, really glad about that one. Apothecary is still spawning in the wall, but who really uses the potions when you can get infinite essences? The increasing stats really increases the difficulty of the dungeon, making it really hard to get down to really low levels, even with my 700+ level character. I suppose more optimized gameplay would make it easier, but I like my character being grown how I like and I like making my opponents grow. Overall, the hotfix fixes just about everything about 0.1.3, especially in regards to the dungeon. There's still a few problems here and there, like the Apothecary, but it's fixable in future versions. I definitely feel like this version will sustain everybody even if 0.1.4 gets pushed back to April. (If you ask me, waiting even longer just makes the result even better, assuming at least half of the stuff promised makes it in. After all, we all know this is still an alpha build, not everything is going to be perfect the first time through.) A suggestion for the next version, take it or not, is to add more risk to Challenge Me. Maybe as it goes higher, the EXP boost it gives wanes. I've seen in the Maurauder near the first archway, in the forest, that there's a chance for a fat-based Maurauder to spawn. Fighting it with the Block regen skill makes it impossible to lose to, allowing for an infinite EXP generator, depending on how long you're willing to go for. One possible solution I can think of is it always growing the enemy in their preferred stat, while also boosting another one. Not sure how hard that would be to implement, especially with how you're remaking the combat system, but I feel like the risk/reward of Challenge Me is slightly too exploitable right now, if you get lucky. Enjoying the game, and looking forward to the future!

Is it possible to get an option to raise a stat without raising the associated growth? Just for example, I grow legs to 60. I don't really want my characters legs to go past 60, but I do want to continue raising my speed and dex stats.

Still been having occasional issues with the softlocks after combat, which is a bit of a bummer. I'm not sure if it's coming from me abusing the "Challenge me!" Skill a bunch, though its happened a few times even with simple combat, usually from enemies in bushes more than not. It's a hindrance, especially when grinding, but otherwise i've encountered not too many issues!~

thanks for the feedback, challenge me does seem pretty op right now. I was thinking about having the xp increase be flat but the growth exponential, so they dont go up at the same rates like they are right now.

I am planning on implementing something like this, I dont exactly know when, but it shouldn't be too difficult

digitalfurbelow

it should only be with the bushes, the problem is that its triggered immediatly after the player spawns in, I may need another way to check if the character has finished spawning before it starts checking for collisions

Anyone know how to help a noob here on command is there anyway to max my stats or get duplicated Items

Figured I'd suggest this for the distant future. I saw before that you were considering doing taurs, which is awesome. I'd like to also suggest the ability to "devolve" into a more feral like form as you get more powerful. If it's not what you want to do i completely understand. I just wanted to throw the idea by you in case you hadn't thought about it before, great job so far.
