Captain  Rose! in bondage! Shes a former pirate queen who is currently engaged  in an anthropological expedition to assist late neolithic societies in  modernizing to the sky pirate age. Advancements have been hindered by  small issues with communication but she hopes in time to convince them  of the merits of using ROUND wheels at some point in the near future.  Plus side? Free teddy bears literally everywhere.

Rosebud edition (Explicit)

This is a sequel to an image I made with Pixel Inquisitor pixel-inquisitor.deviantart.co… six and a half years ago.

Heh,  I was just looking at the original picture, and saw that you said you  wanted to redo it sometime. Just assumed it was another project that  fell by the wayside, so quite a surprise to see it redone.

Your  writing talent really shines through even in that short description.  Redefining being abducted and gagged by jungle savages as some kind of  charity mission with communication problems is genius.

As for the  drawing itself, you did carry through my thoughts as to how a jungle  ponygirl would be decorated: Rough leather, facepaint, and feathers.  Quite an elaborate assortment of leather strands to form a sort of  bra/chest harness, there. The piercings on the rosebud version are  well-thought out as well.

Personally, I think the coat the one  Goblin is wearing would probably be a lot muddier and in much rougher  shape, especially if Rose has been working with these goblins for quite a  while. Still, minor quibble.

Yeah  this scenario with Captain Rose was always something I was going to  come back to but I didn't want to rush it. There's a lot of texture  variations in a set up like this that isn't really present in any of my  other pictures. Feathers, rocks, shells, beads, leather, wood, vines,  fur, leaves ext, throw in some white hair to boot. Its all organic but  each surface has to be unique in some way. Working out a balance between  the tans needed for dirt, skin, wood and fur knowing that its all going  to occupy the same general area is a lot more challenging then anything  else I generally do.

I'll put a pin in this right now and say  that this is definitely a concept I'll be revisiting again down the road  but probably not as seasonally as Shanoa and the straitjacket pictures.

As always I welcome your input and let me know if you have any ideas you want drawn out.
