💛 Count Your Little Wins 💛 (Patreon)

We often get so obsessed with the ‘big stuff’, the life markers and giant moments that we forget about the day-to-day stuff.
And to me, that seems a little silly on our part. Life is mostly made up of the mundane, the routine and ritual - surely we should give it the attention it deserves. Or at least, a little more than we do.
So, here’s me trying to practise gratitude for my incredibly cozy and safe everyday.
I am genuinely surprised I had as many things as this. And you might feel that way too. You might not think there’s a point trying to write things down because you haven’t done anything, but honestly, you’d be surprised.
The whole point is that this list is full of little wins. Did you practice good hygiene, load the dishwasher and keep general order in your space? Write it down. It’s a little win. Did you make a stranger smile, make your friend a coffee, sit down and talk about each other’s problems? Write it down.
Our everyday moments are our everything. It matters.
I don’t know about you guys, but I find it very easy to pick fault with myself - and honestly, it’s exhausting and pretty pointless (unless done with constructive and helpful intention).
So, here’s me, trying to be good to myself - sitting back with a cuppa, thinking back and appreciating those tiny positives that make up life.
Maybe give it a go!
