If you haven’t seen one of these posts before, this is just what it says on the tin - a recommendations post. Sometimes I get caught in a cycle of the same movies, books, activities, and whatever else. If you also suffer from this, I hope this small collection of recommendations can be of some help.
P.S. These are obviously just things I like and if you don’t like them too, then that’s absolutely a-okay ❤️

Am I Being Unreasonable?:
Love a good British comedy-thriller with a very distinct vibe of “bit odd, innit?”. Then you might wanna give this head-scratcher a go! Full of grey characters doing both good and less-than-good, you’ll want more with every episode. Mostly, because you’re left wondering “what the fuck is going on?!”
The Nanny:
A true 90’s comfort watch. Want endless charm with little to no plot? Then you need a sexy nanny, a British butler, and a socialite obsessed with an unavailable widow! It’s worth it just for the burns! If you need something snuggly and fluffy - this should work wonders. Think of it as warm cup of something comfy :)

The Addams Family (1991) / The Addams Family Values (1993):
The sheer goofy energy that this movie radiates! Unbeatable! Perfect for those of us who like our spooks on the camp side, with serving of wholesomeness and romance as standard. If you haven’t seen it yet, please give it a go. I promise an hour and a half of pure fun. Also, Gomez and Morticia have been setting the standard for couples for FOREVER. We love a supportive, communicative marriage. Yes, we do! Also, this is one of those magical occurrences where the sequel is BETTER. Joan Cusack is a blonde bombshell and so much more! Please, please witness it!

Move Your Body:
The more you move, the better you will feel, the quicker you’ll fall sleep. Do it.
Do Something Nice for Someone:
Call your mom (if she’s nice), ask your friend out for a coffee, take out the trash for your elderly neighbour. Kindness spreads more kindness. It’s like good-for-you bacteria - spread that shit around!
Do Basic Bitch Things:
Know why doctors, psychologists, and even wikipedia suggest we go outside, eat fruit and socialise? Well, apparently these are things that actually serve us. So, do more of the basic bitch stuff that we all roll our eyes out. Turns out it can actually help. Not a cure-all, but part of a consistent and healthy routine. I know, blah, blah, blah. You still got it do it, bro. Do it without dragging your feet - see how much easier it might be.
Say No (Even When It’s Hard):
People-pleasing is not good for the soul. It exhausts you, feeds your anxiety, and honestly just leads to an unauthentic and strained time. Look after yourself, say no to things, make yourself a priority…. Because you are.
