"I know I’m not perfect. I don’t have gravity-defying breasts or a constant perky demeanour, but I’m real and I’m here - And I really, really love you."

...

You're lonely. It's something you feel every day.

Role-play games, interactive characters and comforting audios - your help and your hindrance.

You confess your pain to your best friend, how you love and loathe your coping mechanisms.

She understands. You can see it. She knows as well as you do - fantasy is a welcomed escape. But that's all it is - an escape - a break from the world.

She needs to tell you something too. Something uncomfortable, something existent, something real.

She's lonely too:

"You know the difference between fantasy and reality. But you know what the cool thing is - sometimes reality can be even better. You know why - nobody expects it to be."

...

Early release because you patrons are absolutely worth it!

Also - Holy moly! This one got meta, and real and I really hope it packs the right punch!

Remember: entertainment can be wonderful, but so can reality - if given the chance.

Please enjoy.

Love,

Tea x

Wow! Over 20 minutes of what feels like a personal attack 😭 Seriously though, thank you Tea. This is exactly my kind of content and you’re really spoiling us lately. I expect to break down into an inconsolable crying mess when I listen to it tonight 👌

I was just thinking about a Tarzan and Jane audio

At work right now and at first I was feeling pretty down but since you posted this I now can’t wait to get home and listen to this thank you 😊

Those Tarzan & Jane audios you made have now been completely recontextualized for me

As easy as it is to see the comparison between the subject of this audio and ASMR, I dont quite see it that way. I feel like in some ways, when I come here I feel more in Reality than the "real world." In the real world, I'm surrounded by people who constantly try to act like someone they aren't, tell me things they and I know aren't true and act like fake is better than authentic. But YOU are real, T. You are so utterly real and present and authentic with us. You have given us hundreds of pieces of yourself to us week after week, and while there is a clear element of escape in this, when I put my earbuds in and hear that tea being poured, I'm hearing your thoughts and heart. Thank you so much for letting us in on yourself!

Oh man, haven't heard it yet but i'm so excited to see what you will be spoiling us with this time. Also, not to sound ungrateful, but this hits way too close to home...

I love that you did this topic -- it's particularly relevant around this time of year. Fantasy is a tricky creature, but like so many things, I think it is what you make of it, no? It's about intention. You can listen to an audio and then go on with your day as per normal. I think the problem comes when you listen to escape into the audio, and not to get something out of it.

(but that being said, I'm still holding out for a woman with gravity-defying breasts)

The brutal irony in this one... makes you wanna laugh and cry at the same time

At the risk of writing something universally unpopular... I would posit that we don't really know Tea. Or rather, we *do* know Teacup Audio. And she is awesome and I <3 her to death (not literally). But we don't know the woman -- the real person -- behind her. Which isn't to see that person isn't also wonderful and compassionate. From what I've seen of her, she is every bit as much so as you'd think, maybe even more. But Tea is a YouTube channel, not a person. You're absolutely right that the "real world" is full of people pretending to be something that they're not. At the same time, the connections we make there can be fulfilling on a different level, just because we've evolved to create relationships through touch, interaction, etc. I promise I don't mean this as an attack, even though I'm sure it comes across as one. You're certainly free to ignore it -- that's absolutely your right. But I feel compelled to say something because I can relate *way* too much to what you just said and that period of my life did *not* end well. And while you most certainly don't need me (or anyone) to take care of you, I'm hoping you'll consider the idea. Anyhow, whether you listen to this or ignore it, I really hope things get easier for you, and I'm sure all of us are glad if Tea and this community can be a support for you <3

Yeah, oof. The great and sad part of this audio is that it's the same escapism. But... You know what though? It given me inspiration for a suggestion. Not a GF audio, but as a female friend encouraging a platonic friend to get into the dating game again. For who's had a few rough ones and just feels like damaged goods. Too hurt, too jaded. Someone who feels like there's someone out there anymore. Instead of the plot of finding the one, maybe they just need to hear that they are of worth enough to get their footing back, and not a sudden confession.

Yikes, way to call me out, Tea haha. Alright here’s my compromise and foray into the real world. Do you know anyone like you or the sweet characters you voice you can set me up with 😊?

Jim

Gravity defying breasts appreciated but not required.
