With the rise of digital media comes piracy. This issue is not exclusive to porn. I know of sites that pirate movies that are still in theaters. Though it is likely more prevalent for porn than other forms of media. Most guys would rather not their wives/girlfriends finding stuff like that on their computer or phone so they put it on some website and then not have to worry... Until someone does a history search that is.

For clarification, I am not justifying the act obviously! Theft is theft no matter what form of media.

And all sexes and genders consume porn, not just dudes. I think that fewer steps are taken across the board to protect intellectual property in this field because all too many people and cultures associate porn with "sleazy LA studios" and unethical, borderline criminal ties. The vast majority of independently produced erotic content I've seen seems honest and upfront about an ethical code, and even WITHOUT such statements, erotica is just as valid an art form as, say, music or film. But the unstated religion-influenced opinion of erotica and erotica creators/actors as "less than" those in other fields makes it harder for these smaller studios to make headway against content theft. Like, how many times did that douchebag steal Tea's erotic audio? I guess while music and film lobbyists can push hard for anti-piracy laws that favour their fields (which they totally should), the porn industry (namely, the studios working ethically and legally and safely) should also have lobby groups more at the forefront, but it's gonna take a looooonnng time and several terms of more progressive governments worldwide to get there.

I mean.... Iโ€™d shoot amature for free just saying haha just to make peopleโ€™s day better... I mean madame Teacup has free YouTube videos she isnโ€™t paid for or wasnโ€™t for a time and she did them for free just to help out right? But yes those ladies perform to extremes and people just look em up on pornhub... sad.

Well, actually there's alot of free porn. Not all porn is commercial product.

Except it's pretty standard for porn companies to put out samples of their work for free.

In this day and age, free means paywall-free. That's a side effect of the internet's dynamics. But those who are against paywall free content, should remember that "free" also refers to freedom. And fighting against the "theft" of content ie. paywall-free websites is the 1st step towards (and often an excuse for) the reduction of individual freedom. At first they will say "we're doing all this to fight piracy", then they will forbid access to certain news outlets, VPNs, youtube... welcome to China...

Except when someone takes premium content behind the publisher's back and uploads it elsewhere, both the publisher and creator get screwed. But hey, porn is free amirite
