I largely agree. I find that being aggressive is fine, channeled properly it can bring you great personal success. Those who are disrespectful just make it harder for us to empathize with that persons problems and concerns.

I agree. I think being aggressive in your convictions and mind set can be really productive. The difference lies in when you're being aggressive simply for the sake of creating waves, and establishing a 'me vs them' situation.

Seriously, though... regardless of sex, gender, orientation, or who you prefer to have play with your wobbly bits, I believe it shows underdeveloped character when anyone mistakes meanness and animosity for strength and courage. An old concept I seem to be stating quite a bit, recently, is this: Let us not fight so hard to be right, that we forget how to be kind.
