After 200+hrs of work, now feel is ready for release.  Please be aware that bc is huge environment with over 2million triangles, performance will take hit esp if on older/slow pc.  Performance in VR also very demanding.

  • Full reassemble+recreation in Unity for VAM, ton of hrs spend alt tab between unity and game for trying match every detail
  • Full lighting bake, trying match game close as possible.  Every time baking light for test accuracy take absurd amount of time.
  • Huge amount of work on match overall look+game shader in unity with standard unity shaders.  Without this, would look very flat/not cartoonish. Could write entire essay on all tricks+techniques needed for reverse engineer shader + match look in unity.
  • Multiple cubemaps for every part of map
  • Water color can be adjust in scene lighting tab
  • Any scene lights add by user will cast shadow on map, in some room will be harder to see, but still there
  • Whole map moveable if select CustomUnityAsset atom, very useful if already have models+lighting and want change to diff room on map, make sure disable collision first
  • HIGHLY RECOMMEND MacGruber PostMagic for LUT (Color Lookup Table) so can try experiment with more color correction for match game further + tweak to own user preference.
