[Poll] Important change for the subscriptions (Patreon)

Hi all ;)

I'm thinking about setting up a different system for Patreon subscriptions.

I would like to test the "custom pledge" for everyone and therefore remove the different Tier.

Currently there are 8 Tier, it takes a lot of work to post a message that is adapted to each Tier, then I also have to separate the sending of messages at the beginning of the month (reward zip) and I noticed that many had to leave for budget problem.

So I thought of custom pledge instead of Tier, everyone will have the same advantages, (images Full HD/4K, blend file, 2020, 2021 and 2022 images).


What is the custom pledge?

- the subscriber can enter the price he will pay for his subscription himself (minimum $1)


What will it change?

- the new subscribers will have instead of "Tier" a text with "custom pledge" and they can put the price of their choice to subscribe

- you will be able to change the price of your subscription as you wish depending on your budget or the period

if for example you put $5, then you think that next month it will be complicated you can lower it to $1 while continuing to be a member and get the same rewards as if you paid $5, then you can raise the budget later when you are ready

- you will have access to all my content, all images from 2020 to now, FullHD/4K images, blend file no matter what price you put


What will happen if the system is set up?

it will certainly be necessary on your side to modify the subscription to put the price of your choice, but do not worry I will be available to help you to do it if you have a problem

you'll also have to be patient, because it will take me several days for everyone to have access to all the content, so don't worry if from one day to the next you don't have access to anything, it's normal, everything will be back to normal after.


So you can pay the price you want, less for the same thing or more if you are in a generous mood ^^

I am currently on $1 but I can change to $3 and maybe more in the i future., I hope too many people will not be cheeky and drop their price down to the minimum. It’s a good freedom you are allowing.

I’m curious. Are all the rewards going to be the same no matter what the pledge? For example: if someone is currently pledging $20 vs $5, will they both have the same access to the contents and rewards?

I think it's a good idea to test that formula especially if it allows you to spend less time on "Patreon managing" and more time on creating content.

Yes that's right, the rewards will be the same. Those who have a small budget will be able to put the price which is convenient for them according to their budget and those who have a bigger budget will be able to put more during the time which they wich.
