I finally got my new rendering PC today! It is up and running and rendering out The Buck as we speak! This is great news because it means I can 100% release The Buck this month!

This new PC will be dedicated to rendering 24/7. Once I am all caught up on rendering, that will give me additional time to work and animate! :D Before now, I have been using my PC during the day and rendering over night. However, soon I can dedicate all rendering to my new PC and use this one just for animating!

I just wanted to share this with you and I will provide some more updates on The Buck at the end of the week =)

The Buck Final To Do List:

  • Animation - Done
  • Cum Fluid Simulation - Done!
  • Final Rendering  30% Done  (11 Days Left)
  • Additional Voice Acting (In Progress)
  • Additional SFX (In Progress)
  • Add in all chat messages (1 day of work)

The rtx 3080 is due in an Nvidia keynote in a couple of days. Apparently a significant performance bump too but i'd wait for render times etc to be unveiled before committing yet more expense.

You definitely won't need to heat the house now, with those 4 cards rendering 24/7 😅

STUPID NVIDIA. Why didnt they call me and let me know before I bought these 2080's

Good for u, Red. And good for us patrons!

Congrats on the new system Red. That should definitely speed things up. Also Jack is right on the money in suggesting you should wait to see what the RTX 3080 has to offer in terms of rendering performance as brand new cards cost a mint yet in some cases they only provide a modest increase in terms of performance.

Make sure you get some time for yourself. We look forward to seeing more of your work but not at expense of your health

You're awesome! How much faster would it go if someone bought you another rendering PC?
