Bad news: The day after I plugged it in, my new monitor developed a yellow line from top to bottom. And it's from one of those Chinese companies, so their response to me having a warranty is them marking my e-mails as spam.

Good news: Amazon, at least, was willing to give me a refund. They're still evil, but this is one of those Florida/Disney things where it's like... evil versus a more annoying evil, that keeps making bad Star Wars shows.

Bad news: Even with a refund, now I've gotta return the old one and set up a new one.

News...?: I've also decided I might as well pull the trigger on getting a new workstation when Memorial Day rolls around, so as long as I'm at it, I might go for new speakers, maybe a new mouse (the old one is finicky, but that might be the PC--if it behaves with the new workstation, it's grandfathered in). Nothing fancy, but you know... if you're driving coast to coast, you might as well do it in a Corvette instead of a Volvo. 

I'm also closing in on finishing When Elvira Met Bettie. Or, you know, having just a huge amount of chapters done so that it's updated consistently. I'm not going to post 20,000 words of it next month, but it'd be nice to have 20,000 words ready to go so I can post a little of it every month without having to worry about running out of steam.
