So with the wedding climax, I wanted to take a bit of a breather and give Peter's agreement some weight, while also not doing a huge wedding plotline. Eloping seemed a good compromise, but I didn't want them to just walk out the door, walk back in, and start having a threesome. So I came up with a bit of an adventure to go along with it, trying to have my cake and eat it too with a bit of a wedding-type celebration, but no cake tasting or dress shopping or anything. Those are all fine, but seem like a bit of glurge.

Obviously, both Rogue and Carol Danvers are part of the cast, so I wanted to throw some conflict in that way--explore how Carol feels about Rogue now that the X-Men have, err, gone roguish and possibly confirmed a lot of the misgivings Carol would've had. Not that either of them are Parkers yet, but it seems to me like a good conflict to explore in Rogue's repentance and Carol's inability to wholly forgive her.

I also like looking back on the first days of the threesome with Rogue's borrowed memories, back when MJ and Felicia were a bit more impatient with each other and eager to stake their claim. Since that's sorta Rogue's thing, I might put in a few more flashbacks as she experiments with her power. We never did see Mary Jane and Felicia's first night together...

The dinner jacket scene was inspired a bit by Lucy Pinder, a good head!Felicia, since I wanted to give her something spicy since she wouldn't go for a floofy dress. Next time: Tigra.

Definitely works with what you're going for. Wedding scenes are *murder* to write almost every time, so what we've seen so far and what you're suggesting will happy feel like a solid way to get the best of both worlds. Also really liking the conflict, because it felt totally IC for them as well as doing a good job of giving both of them closure which I don't think happened in canon. Plus it had the added bonus of giving Peter a chance to shine as a comforter person. Rogue being an effective glimpse to the past has potential not only for flashbacks like you mention here but in the future too for moments during timeskips that would hurt story flow to include at the time they occur.
