Rey's Victory notes (Patreon)

So like I said, one of the things that interested me about this story was doing a kind of story that, historically, would whitewash Kylo Ren and make Rey a cringing victim, and while not reversing that... subverting it to some extent. Rey is strong-willed and takes as little shit as possible for a woman in a position where she basically has no options. And Kylo, and the First Order, are utter bastards, even in something as simple as having Rey wash and change her clothes. 

I also knew I wanted to give Rey a new outfit, as I figure that Jakku one must've gotten pretty ripe, so I figured a uniform of the type Juno Eclipse wore in the old Force Unleashed game would give her some individuality and opposition to the sea of First Order bodies she's surrounded with, while still plausibly being something that might be on hand. (Sorry, guy who wanted her dressed in a gold bikini--not that kind of movie, bruv.)
