Another long-overdue update. The hardest part of this story--beyond coming up with a plausible way for Mad Max: Fury Road to become "lesbian harem anime trash"--was fleshing out the personalities of the Wives and their growing relationships with Furiosa, as paralleled by Max's interactions with the Citadel family. Toast was always the starting point--I figured as the warrior of the group, she'd be the first to make her move with Furiosa and lead the way for the rest of the Wives. But for a long time, the next Wife was just 'the next one,' and I didn't want it to be generic or random. So after some research, I dug up that of the group, Capable was the seductress, and thinking of her moving on from Nux and being the next to bond with Furiosa really helped this chapter take shape. Next chapter's going to mix things up a bit, though, and will focus on Cheedo.
