It suddenly occurs to me that, as long as we're considering breeding fics, a Superman one makes all the sense in the world. Just drop a prophecy that Kryptonians will be needed to defeat some universe-ending threat and watch Clark get busy mating his various waifus. Or did Marry The Steel scratch that itch?

Nah, as fun as Marry the Steel was there's so much further to go with that! I'd love to see more.

Better be a different scenario from the Marry series. Maybe forego the whole prophecy thing and do an Injustice story? That one makes a bunch of sense for a breeding fic, and you might not have to worry about how to get WASP Clark Kent to go all Book of Mormon on us.

Could do stuff with the "krypton abandoned normal birth for artificial which made the race as a whole less filled with love and more occupied with science and retaining power"

Hell, pull in Maxima and have it be a prophecy she was taught while digging up info on the ones most suited to impregnating her etc. Could pull in Faora looking to reduce her sentence in the phantom zone in exchange for helping teach Kal some kryptonian things(and putting Chris Kent in her)

If you wanna do something real different this could be a Earth where Clark and Lois are already married with Jon already Superboy with Lara on the way etc by the time the story starts

Actually, how many AU kids of Clark are there? There are his many Lois kids, his Diana kids from Kingdom Come etc...has he ever gotten with Maxima or Dinah etc?

Sounds good! You can differentiate it from Marry the Steel by having some different female characters. Maybe more justice league characters rather than just Superman ones.
