I happened to Google myself the other day and find a co thread discussing my fics. It was actually pretty heartening to find people holding some of my works up as classics and taking my side in disputes I'd had like in the situation with Scans_Daily, and that positivity actually inspired me to try and be a bit more public.

However, there was some rumormongering going around having to do with Wingbat, saying that he was responsible for me pulling my fics. Totally untrue. It was someone on Livejournal who I can only describe as being of dubious sanity. Wingbat I found to be a perfectly reasonable commissioner. He gave me a lot of leeway in writing the stories he asked for from me, let me include different pairings and storylines that I was interested in, and experiment with different storytelling techniques than usual. I have no complaints there. I don't know what troubles he's had with others, but in all my dealings with him, cool guy. And his OC stuff was definitely not the weirdest thing I've been asked to write, by a long shot.

And believe me, I would rather have one guy paying me to write about his waifu than a hundred guys commenting nothing but "MORE!" like that's the slightest bit edifying.
