Commoning Education Within & Beyond Formal Institutions?

COVER Seminar Commoning Education Within & Beyond Formal Institutions? Wednesday January 18th What are the possibilities and limitations of commoning education outside of formal academic institutions? If we’ve reached as stage where, as Harney and Moten claim, studying is the one thing you can’t do in the university, does it become essential to escape from formalized teaching spaces inorder to create times and spaces to be able read, think, and theorize together? For this session we will be joined by Adam Jones from Acid Horizon. Acid Horizon is a podcast and media project broadly focusing on metaphysics, ethics, politics, critical theory, phenomenology, and beyond. Adam Jones is currently a PhD candidate at Kingston University, where he is working on a project exploring individuality and anarchy named Transcendental Insurgence: Max Stirner’s Hegelian Heresies. The Acid Horizon crew are also working on their first book Anti-Oculus: The Philosophy of Escape, out next year.
