Hello everyone,
Since I have a couple of weeks off, I decided that I would do some "fan service" for our patrons. Over the next few days I will upload various short essays, lectures, or other texts based on fan recommendations. These will be texts that translate into about 20 to 30 minutes of audio. Maybe you want to take a short walk, get away from your desk, and listen to something--these readings are intended for that purpose!
I have a few other texts in mind, but I am open to recommendations. I can't promise that I will take everybody's recommendation; however, if I recognize a trend I will do my best to meet you halfway!
I chose "Letter to a Harsh Critic" for a few reasons. First off, it was recommended by a fan. Also, the recommendation happened to coincide with me observing different instances of divisive etiquette among folks who are presumably comrades. I think Deleuze's ethics of affirmation have always been a strong antidote in these cases, and "Letter to a Harsh Critic" is an indispensible meditation in that aspect. Moreover, he clarifies the practical dimension to Anti-Oedipus and his other work with Guattari. I hope everyone finds something useful in listening to my rendition--for patrons only!
Best wishes to you, your families, and your assemblages,
Craig
