Great quick hit introduction. As a person who graduated with my BA in philosophy I can attest to the fact that philosophy departments are still teaching thesis, antithesis, and synthesis in their 101 courses. Frankly, I seem to remember reading it in the assigned text as well. It was only when I started studying in a continental friendly philosophy Department that I learned what I was indoctrinated with was not Frederick Hegel, but Freddie Hegel, a turn of phrase used by a well-known Derridian scholar who taught the course.
