Commission Postings (Patreon)

Let me get on this before it stews too much in my brain and I wind up saying things I'll regret.
People pay me a lot of money for a commission. I take that transaction very seriously. Someone who pays me for my work is entitled to exclusivity of the work. I'm not going to spread copies of paid-for artwork for everyone to have. I don't plan to display the commission work except for certain advertisement or somesuch.
You Patrons are getting to see the commission work I'm doing because I value your support. Anything that's not -private- is put into my Rewards. Even so, commission work has a priority over Patreon. I -will- maintain exclusivity to the commissioners to the best of my ability. The person who paid for the art can show it off all they want.
I have seen far too many examples of my art being modified, signature removed, recolored and distributed across the vastness of the Internet. Artwork someone has dropped a couple hundred dollars on is going to be protected by me. The watermark is my way of doing that. The purpose of the watermark is to preserve the exclusivity as much as possible.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, determined assholes will work around it, but they have to -work- around it. It's not just a crop and run situation.
I felt I needed to explain why the watermark is there. It's supposed to be annoying. It's there so I can feel I am not taking away from the person who has paid for the art.
I will see about making the watermark less obtrusive, but the point is to BE Obtrusive.
Deal with it.
