Madison Wynter - Early Concept Art (Patreon)

Madison has finally appeared, showing up this week on page 9.  So it's only fitting to reveal some of Katsu's earliest designs for her. 

It was vital that Madison appear more hardened and distant than Reena. The two are polar opposites, both in personality and in the way they operate during a case, Whereas Reena embraces the system, Madison is constantly on the edge of it. 

All three of these early designs differ significantly from the final version. Notice on designs "1" and "3" how the uniform more closely resembled Reena's (aside from the added jacket). Madison's "2" outfit was more in the direction I had envisioned, but this was eventually altered as well. The faces here are a bit different too, with design "1" being closest to the finished character.
