Mari Vetra - Character Sheet (Patreon)

Last week we saw our first visual novel character reveal, featuring Irene Soren. Now here's our second reveal -- Mari Vetra in her PCPD DuraCloth uniform!

Character Description:  Mari Vetra may be young, but she's proven herself to be a dedicated—and competent—officer. In her short time with the department (one year, two months, and five days, to be exact) Mari has received numerous commendations from her superiors for an impressive track record. Having successfully solved several high-profile cases, Mari believes that it's only a matter of time before she's promoted to the Special Crimes Unit. Mari is vehemently opposed to the Fast Track Program—a short three month curriculum designed to hurry cadets through basic training (usually resulting in rookies graduating without sufficient skills). The necessity for the Fast Track Program was due to massive officer shortages and a dire need for new recruits. Most new officers now come from this program—many unqualified for law enforcement duties. However, Mari graduated from a regular academy, where she enrolled for the standard duration and was adequately trained.  

Mari takes her work seriously. In fact, she takes everything seriously—some would say too much so for her own good. Always trying to prove herself, Mari is determined and studious—traits that make her extremely proficient when it comes to detective work. However, her all-work-no-play disposition negates her from forming lasting relationships—both professional and personal. Mari exudes a 'know-it-all' attitude—she's extremely intelligent, but lacks the social grace to not come off as arrogant and self-assertive. Mari also has a heated temper, especially around new officers. On occasions where she's 'out of her element' or isn't knowledgable on a subject, Mari can be easily flustered or embarrassed.
