Patreon Pledge Issues (Patreon)

I received a few messages from Patreon supporters over the last 24 hours regarding declined pledges. This hasn't happened to everyone, but if you can no longer access content, it's likely because of a decline.

It seems that certain banks are rejecting Patreon charges due to them looking fraudulent or suspicious (Patreon recently moved their central banking to the UK). This seems to be a widespread occurrence this week for numerous supporters and creators.

It appears that if your pledge was declined, either your bank will contact you to verify your Patreon charge (this is what happened to me), or you can call your bank and tell them that the charge was not fraudulent.

It also appears that Patreon will be emailing supporters who had their payment declined to update them on the situation.

Sorry for the hassle. Hopefully Patreon is better prepared to handle this more efficiently in the future.
