Athy Zabaht - Early Character Concept Art (Patreon)

There's a bit of background behind this character, most of which stems from me wanting to go with a science-fiction/horror theme for Chapter 4 of Danger Zone One. Ultimately, I dropped my original idea and went with the current "Nightmare Island" storyline.

However, one of the initial concepts focused on another "super-science-gone-bad" angle. In this unused plot, a scientist named Dr. Delphine Stokam is working for a military contractor in an effort to create genetically enhanced soldiers. Under 'Project Culadra', Stokam is successful in genetically enhancing only one test subject, Athy Zabath (the other subjects didn't fare so well).

Thanks to Project Culadra, Athy now possesses telekinetic powers--though the experiments have taken a toll on her sanity. To complicate matters further, when Athy uses her newfound 'psychokinetic' abilities, it makes her anemic, causing her to thirst for human blood. Of course, as these stories go, Athy escapes into the streets of Pallad City, leading to a string of "Vampire Attacks" as the media labels them. 

It's then up to Madison and Reena to track down Athy, while also contending with Stokam and a privatized army sent in from her employer who wants their test subject back!

It's definitely a plot line I'd love to return to and explore. I'm a fan of Athy's character design, particularly her hair--half of which has turned white due to all of Stokam's extreme experiments that she had to endure.
